Revitalizing Opportunities for the Alderpoint Region

Let's Help Alderpoint Thrive
About
Alderpoint in the mid 1900s was a vibrant rural outpost for the pacific Railway and a bustling hub of ranching commerce....
ROAR (Revitalizing Opportunities for the Alderpoint Region) was created to strengthen the Alderpoint community—environmentally, culturally, and economically—through grant writing, community-building, and local projects that uplift both the region and its people.
Our Projects
ROAR brings resources to Alderpoint by applying for grants to help our community.
-
ROAR helped the Kettenpom-Zenia VFD apply for a $1.5 million Community Wildfire Defense Grant for fuel load reduction and escape corridor improvement from Zenia to the Alderpoint Bridge.
-
The State Coastal Conservancy approved ROAR’s grant titled "Protect the Sacred: Phase One Planning for Great Redwood Trail, Alderpoint" which will work towards sacred site and cultural plant protection as well as trash clean up.
-
ROAR was granted First Five Humboldt funds to continue holding a weekly playgroup for Alderpoint area babies, toddlers, and preschoolers at Casterlin School.

-
ROAR applied for the "Cannabis Restoration Grant Program” for extensive trash clean up and ecological restoration for Alderpoint. https://nrm.dfg.ca.gov/FileHandler.ashx?DocumentID=209227&inline
